About the Role: The main purpose of this role is to provide leadership in clinical education, training, and professional development across residential aged care, community home care and allied health. The role ensures that staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to deliver safe, person-centred, and evidence-based care across all service areas and supports compliance, quality outcomes, and appropriate AN-ACC funding determination.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assess the training needs and develop, deliver, and evaluate competency-based education programs for Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs), Carers, Support Workers, and Allied Health staff.
  • Provide training in key clinical risk areas, including (but not limited to): Handover, Medication safety and administration, Infection prevention and control, Falls prevention and management, Pressure injury prevention and wound care, Dementia and behaviours of concern, Incident Identification and Management and Palliative Care.
  • Facilitate induction training for new staff and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
  • Support ongoing competency assessments and skill reviews to maintain workforce capability.
  • Educate and coach staff on accurate, timely, and person-centred clinical documentation.
  • Ensure staff understand how to record information that supports AN-ACC funding and reflects the true care needs of residents and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical leaders to identify documentation gaps and implement targeted training.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying training needs through audits, incident reviews, and feedback.
  • Contribute to policy, procedure, and guideline development relevant to clinical practice and education.
  • Work closely with Clinical and Allied Health Teams to align training with organisational priorities.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
About You

We're seeking a passionate Nurse Educator to design and deliver engaging education programs, mentor staff, and ensure best practice in clinical care and compliance.

As a Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise and a flair for education, you'll bring knowledge of aged care standards, clinical risk management, and allied health practices. With excellent communication and coaching skills, you'll support staff to grow their capability while promoting person-centred care, dignity, and respect for older people.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications in education, gerontology, dementia care, or leadership (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
