Childcare Cleaner

A permanent role for a driven cleaner to work onsite with our early childhood education and care team at our established centre in Tamworth.

This is a permanent role, 37.5 hours per week, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

• Cleaning floors using manual or mechanical cleaning equipment (mops, vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners).
• Emptying rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring bin liners are replaced and bins are kept clean and free from smell.
• Laundry washing and folding.
• Dusting and tidying of all assigned areas, rooms and furniture.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
• Washing windows, walls, mirrors and glass surfaces and ensuring they are streak-free.
• Ensuring bathrooms are stocked with all necessary items including soaps, toilet paper, hand towels, etc.
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Ensuring that chemicals and cleaning products are handled and stored safely.
• Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning requests.

• Full work rights in Australia.
• Previous experience as a cleaner in an educational (school or early childhood) or commercial setting (highly regarded).
• Current WWCC or willingness to obtain.
• Appropriate knowledge of cleaning products, safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously and have a strong Work Health and Safety focus.
• A flexible approach and attitude with excellent communication skills.
