About the Role

Merri-bek City Council is seeking a dedicated Irrigation Maintenance Technician to join our Water Management Team within Open Space Management Maintenance. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance, auditing and repair of irrigation and stormwater harvesting systems. Your expertise will help ensure our irrigation and stormwater assets, including pumps, UV systems and filters, operate at optimal levels.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Qualification in Irrigation or substantial experience within the industry
  • A willingness to obtain a trade-certified position in Irrigation
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs and testing of irrigation and stormwater systems, controllers, pumps, UV systems and filtration assets within Open Space Maintenance
  • Conduct irrigation performance audits
  • Operate light and heavy machinery adhering to council safety practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Remuneration and Working Arrangements

Salary: $78k - $80k + Super. Full-time permanent role (based on 35 hours per week). Fortnightly RDO. Ability to transfer or take Long Service Leave within Local Government.
