What To Expect
Due to continued growth in our Utility Energy business, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to help deliver a large pipeline of projects, both in Victoria and around the wider APAC region.

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the safe and compliant engineering, design, construction and commissioning of Utility scale storage projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within quality and cost constraints, including a high-quality hand over to the Tesla Service team.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience managing energy infrastructure projects, demonstrate initiative, clear-headed problem solving, and mastery of the finer details for each project within their remit.

We are seeking a candidate who will bring high energy and an optimistic approach, driving each project to completion within a dynamic and fast moving business environment.

What You'll Do

Responsible for project ownership and execution, understanding/managing the scope and schedule, keeping all parties in syncOverall management of EPC sub-contractors for all phases of construction of projects including design, construction, commissioning, and completionUnderstand and manage the grid connection agreement during construction and testing phasesInterface with and manage internal and external stakeholders, from contracting stage through execution and handover to ServiceIdentify gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success, requiring a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, permitting concepts and rules of conductWhere relevant, support the finance team and supply information to ensure Tesla's overall compliance with the internal agreements and targetsEnsure all works of Tesla employees and contractors are carried out in a safe, high quality, efficient manner in the spirit of continuous improvementAdhere to contractual conditions to ensure compliance and Tesla's subsequent compliance with upstream agreementsPrepare regular reports on project status and risk

What You'll Bring

Engineering degree (Civil or Electrical Preferred), tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience5+ years of end-to-end project management experienceExperience delivering registered generators in the NEM desirableExperience in delivering projects in Renewable energy , Power distribution or UtilitiesPMP/PMC certification preferredAbility to travel up to 50% of the time (mostly local travel but occasionally international travel will be required)Knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid processAbility to manage field construction activities and resourcesBasic knowledge of Electrical infrastructureAbility to manage several projects and prioritiseHighly motivated self-starterAbility to work cross functionally with engineering, business development, and construction personnel.Experience managing matrixed project teamsExcellent communication and documentation skills
