Joining our team as a Patient Care Assistant, you will provide support and assistance to the wards and greater hospital, including theatres, and will involve:
Contributing to providing a safe environment for patients, staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners, your role will involve but is not limited to.
- Transport of patients from and to various locations throughout hospital.
- Assist with patient manual handling with the use of aides.
- Porter's patients, including to the mortuary if required.
- Assist with response to emergencies.
- Assist with pre-operative patient shaves.
- Cleans areas and equipment as required within the hospital.
- Carries out other duties as directed by the Patient Transport Manager and after-hours hospital co-ordinator.
The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with a client-focused mindset, eager to support our staff and patients in achieving the best possible outcomes.
