Description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a diverse and creative team of project management and execution team solving fascinating problems constructing and Optimizing Amazon Data Centers that manages construction activity within the operational data center spaces. The CPI team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operation data centers around the globe. These activities are outside of the scope of standard construction delivery and regular preventative maintenance tasks. You will support and work with the critical Project Managers across the APAC region to understand and resolve critical process related problems with simple solutions.

If you are passionate about the Customer Experience; you think big; and you want to contribute to the operational excellence of Amazon data centers then this may be the challenge you've been looking for

Key job responsibilities

  • Developing a centralized BI dashboard function at the project and program level to support project progress tracking, including cashflow and EVM and report the high level outlook at the country, cluster and regional level to provide the leadership with the visibility on the program progress.
  • Providing various systems and administration support including propriety.
  • Working with the Data Engineering team to deep dive the backend data and filters.
  • Liaising with APAC, AMER and EMEA counterparts to drive the global alignment.
  • Working with PMs to ensure the data integrity when entering into relevant front end platforms.
  • Identifying gaps and creating system SOPs to drive efficiencies and reduce level of efforts (LOEs) on repeating and overlapping data entries, eliminate non-value-add activities, removing blockers, and driving automation.
  • Developing audit and compliance mechanism to ensure the data integrity.
  • Gathering data across clusters to support reporting, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.
  • Creating and delivering training and onboarding programs on key knowledge and tools to construction.
  • Building metrics on Dashboard for KPI reporting to drive better performance internally and externally.

A day in the life

You will use data and anecdotes to tactically drive internal customers to manage project risks (time, cost, quality and safety). You will apply your knowledge and experience to identify and develop dashboard reporting to provide the visibility to peers and the leadership to drive better business outcomes. You need to have the backbone to use the data to tell the business "this is what the data is telling us, and this is how it is done" and develop solutions that enable our Construction Managers to enforce the effective project control with their General Contractors and vendors.
