Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. You may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. Referees may be asked to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Adverse information will be considered as part of the appointment process.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies within the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may be selected. These options remain valid for twelve (12) months from the date the recruitment decision is endorsed.
Position Profile: Plans, implements and evaluates speech pathology services for clients within East Pilbara communities, including inpatient, outpatient, community, outreach services, and health promotion activities. Integrates speech pathology services within a primary health service delivery model as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, across a vast area. The organisation comprises seven regions with a network of public hospitals, health services and health centres across rural and remote Western Australia.
