Freelance Mid-Weight Animator/Motion Designer (Immediate start) – Melbourne, Australia

BRX are on a mission to define what the post-AI 'full service' agency and marketing services provider to the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Officer looks like. We believe we are uniquely equipped to provide superior commercial outcomes at scale by being Better, Faster, Smarter.

Purpose of this position:

For one week (11-19 September), the Animator will join a team of skilled junior and senior animators in our Melbourne office, producing social media content, digital out-of-home advertising and broadcast advertising material.

This role is an opportunity to create a diverse range of work for major Australian brands under the mentorship of a highly skilled team, including Animators, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters and Designers.

Responsibilities
  • Produce engaging and high quality 2D & 3D animation
  • Clearly communicate with the animation and broader agency team
  • Adding value to jobs with a love of experimenting with new styles and techniques
  • Contribute to the broader culture of the agency
Skills/attributes to succeed in this role
  • Highly developed motion graphics skills and advanced understanding of animation and design principles
  • 3-4 years industry experience in a studio/agency environment
  • Advanced level of knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
  • Interpreting storyboards and working collaboratively with creatives on developing them where needed
  • Natural problem solver who is solutions-driven when dealing with technical issues and difficult feedback
  • Excellent organisation, communication, time management and collaboration
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff
  • Must be Melbourne based
  • Required to have an ABN
Desirable (but non-essential)
  • Design and Storyboarding skills a plus
  • C4D Experience
