Financial Reporting & Delivery Accountant

Contribute to our mission of enhancing skills, building stronger customer relationships, and leveraging innovation and technology by joining our Finance & Treasury team.

We are seeking a Financial Reporting & Delivery Accountant to ensure accurate, timely financial statements and regulatory reports. You will collaborate with Finance Services teams, providing expert advice to improve financial controls, compliance, and reporting integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring best practices.
  • Manage statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide insightful reports to executive stakeholders.
  • Oversee APRA returns process, coordinating inputs and governance.
  • Encourage technical curiosity and issue resolution within the team.
  • Stay informed on financial and regulatory changes in collaboration with Finance Advisory.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Escalate high-risk issues appropriately.
  • Maintain documentation of guidelines, instructions, and schedules.
  • Work with stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Promote automation, simplification, and risk reduction initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and foster skills development within the team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA or CA qualification, or working towards it
  • At least 3 years' accounting experience, especially in General Ledger, regulatory, and financial reporting involving large computerised systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, Data Analytics
  • Effective problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills
