About this role

We are recruiting for a Service Technician, Controls to join our team in Burnaby or Victoria. This role will strengthen our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality and timely service, troubleshoot and installation of building automation systems according to specifications and design.
  • Configure, integrate, test, commission and service building automation systems including HVAC systems integration.
  • Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot technical systems.
  • Communicate site issues or concerns to the project team.
  • Actively contribute to the project team, escalating client requests to the Project Manager.
  • Adhere to best practices, industry standards, and Houle's commitment to quality.
  • Lead customer training, demos, and project close-out processes.
  • Identify business opportunities from client interactions.
  • Stay familiar with new products, solution versions, upgrades, and compatibility.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • A current IBEW local 213 member or willing to become one.
  • 3+ years' experience in onsite installation and commissioning of HVAC control systems.
  • Previous field experience in the construction industry.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree/diploma or certification an asset.
  • Experience with networking, setting up windows server, configuring routers, and switches.
  • Knowledge of control system design and electrical control system wiring methods.
  • Working knowledge of Reliable Control and/or Schneider EcoStruxure product.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Able to speak, read, and write English fluently, flexible, and able to multi-task in a changing environment.

This is an IBEW position, and compensation will be as per the IBEW 213 Collective Agreement.
