Custom designed vehicles - Government and community projects

Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company. We specialise in building customised vehicles for a range of Government and private clients including Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police, St John's Ambulance, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Medical Edge Patient Transport, SESG, Disability access, Retirement & Nursing homes, Special needs schools and many more

We are currently recruiting for experience and qualified Auto Electricians to ensure we can provide quality and timely products to our clients.

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, reliable, genuine and committed to achieve high standards of fit and finish to all our vehicles. You will need to work well within a team environment, take direction, have high attention to detail and exhibit pride in your work.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Installing custom electrical components on a range of automotive projects.
• This will require knowledge, trouble shooting and input into electrical design.
• Components including. harnesses, light bars, message boards, siren and speaker units.
• Programming OEM Computer Systems.
• Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
• Working closely with other trades relevant to projects to ensure communication and projects remain within schedule times and according to design specification and functionality.
• Training of Apprentices and other employees as required.

Role requirements:

• Auto Electrical Qualified and experience minimum 5 years.
• Proven experience in custom electrical work and projects in previous roles.
• Knowledge and and understanding of schematic diagrams
• Problem solving and input to rectify and recommend variations to electrical designs fit for purpose
• Working to meet project schedules and design specifications deadlines while maintaining high quality
• This role requires you to be physically nimble to work on all areas of medium to large vehicles.
• Working with an overall project team of varied trades to ensure schedule of builds are staged for correctly for efficient and affective project outcomes.
• Knowledge and Experience with 240V an advantage
