English Teacher and Assistant Year Coordinator

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a dynamic and engaging English Teacher with a passion for fostering a positive, supportive environment in both the classroom and the broader school community. This is a permanent, full time position and the role also includes the position of Assistant Year Coordinator for a designated Year Group, supporting the wellbeing and holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:

As an English Teacher, you will:

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching to students from Years 7-10, with the opportunity to teach HSC English Advanced and/or Standard.
  2. Integrate ICT effectively into curriculum delivery, promoting engagement and learning.
  3. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, ensuring accessibility and excellence in education.
  4. Collaborate with a professional, collegial team to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment.

As an Assistant Year Coordinator, you will:

  1. Assist the Year Coordinator in overseeing the wellbeing, academic progress, and co-curricular involvement of students in the designated Year Group.
  2. Support the implementation of Positive Education, promoting the overall mental and emotional wellbeing of students.
  3. Work closely with Mentors, providing day-to-day support to ensure the success and growth of each student in your care.
