ERP Project Test Manager – D365

JOB TYPE: Contract – 12 months with extension

LOCATION: Sydney, with a mix of working from the client site and WFH when agreed.

AVAILABILITY: Immediate or within 2 weeks

RESPONSIBLE TO: QA Account Director and onsite Project/Program Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As a Unicorn X Test Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and or the implementation of Test Strategies and Test Plans. You will report to the Client Program or Project Manager and work closely with other senior project staff in Development, Release, BA or Product Owners. You will manage a team responsible for the test preparation, execution and reporting of tests across a range of industry verticals. You may be required to work in various levels of testing such as System, Integration and Acceptance and within different lifecycle modules such as Agile and Waterfall. You will manage projects requiring functional manual testing, automation testing and on occasion performance testing. You will have significant experience in Agile based projects and worked in Digital transformation / acceleration.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, agree and implement Test Strategies at project level
• Create or oversee the creation of Test Plans required to achieve agreed Strategy
• Manage a team to undertake test and data preparation and execution
• Create test schedule when required
• Report test status to project stakeholders as agreed
• Report Defects & Issues to project stakeholders as agreed
• Gather, review and agree relevant system requirements from a range of sources
• Other tasks as directed

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

• Degree in a computer science-based subject
• ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or other similar certification
• Preferred other relevant certifications you can showcase

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in testing software across the full lifecycle
• Minimum 4 years' experience leading the end-to-end testing of systems within a large-scale ERP program.
• Experience of testing software in at least 4 industry verticals
• Demonstrated use of multiple mainstream test management tools (such as JIRA/Zephyr)

Skills:

• Managing ERP program testing risks and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate impacts.
• Expert in the use of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Expert in the use of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Slack
• Excellent and confident verbal and written communication at all levels
• Maintains a smart dress standard in client environments
• Organised and able to meet deadlines

KEY CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

Project Manager

• Escalate issues, keep informed, advise and receive guidance.
• Participate in meetings and discussions to share information and provide input and feedback.
• Provide reporting that gives a clear picture on the state of the project from a test perspective

Other people at the client (Developers, BA's PM's, Release Managers etc.)

• Build relationships and gain trust.
• Work with other senior staff to align tasks, resolve defects and issues
