Investment Director - Private Wealth

About the Role

At Commonwealth Private (CP), we aim to improve the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities across generations.

This role reports to the Executive Manager – Private Wealth Distribution, working closely with the broader CP business areas.

The Investment Director informs clients on current investment themes and opportunities tailored for CP's UHNW and HNW private clients, providing in-depth knowledge and due diligence processes.

We are seeking an Investment Director who will:

  1. Update clients on market changes and trends based on Investment & Research Team views.
  2. Share expertise across asset classes including FX, equities, fixed income, international and domestic solutions, real estate, credit, private equity/alternatives.
  3. Cultivate client relationships by conducting regular meetings to discuss holdings and market updates, and communicate the CP value proposition.
  4. Take a collaborative approach to client management, working effectively with Private Bankers and their clients.
  5. Deliver business growth goals and milestones through account planning, revenue targets aligned with CP objectives.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  1. A Bachelor of Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  2. Over 10 years of frontline experience in financial markets/investment management/investment market sales.
  3. Experience across a broad range of asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Real Estate and Alternatives.
  4. Strong presentation skills.
  5. Experience working with UHNW/HNW clients.
  6. Proven ability to drive business development and organisational change.
