About the company/role

Opportunity for a technically sound Senior Corporate / Commercial Lawyer to support the smooth operations of the APAC division. In this business-critical role, you will take on high-impact responsibilities across the business (flat-structure) while navigating legal risks. Enjoy a broad, dynamic commercial workload in a fast-paced environment, with new challenges every day, in a high-performing team. There is also the opportunity for you to supervise two down-to-earth lawyers on the team.

Your role will be twofold: Project work and BAU. This will include, but not be limited to, commercial contract review and complex negotiations, attending to regulatory matters (Corps Act, ASIC), technology contracts, product launches, some M&A, privacy, licensing, IP, marketing, technology, overseeing and instructing external counsel, and delivering strategic commercial legal advice across the APAC region. Skills & experience

This role would suit a senior lawyer with an entrepreneurial mindset, who will bring circa 7+ PQE (this is a guide only) from either an in-house legal team and/or a well-regarded firm. Will complement a lawyer with a financial services/regulatory or a technology skillset. Your sharp technical skill set, combined with strong commercial acumen and an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, will see you as successful in this role.
