The Opportunity
Manager – Investment Performance & Risk
12 Month Fixed Term Contract / Full Time
Hybrid Work - 2 days in the office
In this pivotal role, you will support our Investment Team and other internal stakeholders in identifying investment performance & risk metrics and assessing risks associated with investment allocations. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that our investment decisions are accurately reflected within the unit prices calculated on a daily and monthly basis as well as investment reporting to internal stakeholders, committees and to our board.
As the Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Investment Operations to deliver our strategic plan aimed at achieving business objectives. You will have the opportunity to lead and coach a high-performing team, ensuring that they are engaged, supported, and equipped to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support the Investment Team in identifying performance metrics and assessing risks related to investment allocations
- Oversee daily and monthly unit prices to ensure accurate reflection of investment decisions and performance
- Lead and coach the team to build a highly engaged and high-performing culture
- Identify risks and implement mitigants to minimize residual risks associated with the internal control environment
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of performance analytics and attribution reports for stakeholders, including the Investment Committee and Board
- Foster a feedback culture within the team, offering recognition for efforts and identifying growth opportunities
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in Business, Accounting, or Finance, complemented by relevant professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIPM, or CFA. With over 7+ years of experience in Unit Pricing and Performance & Risk management, preferably within the Superannuation, Fund Management, or Custodial Services industries, you will bring a wealth of expertise to our team. You have exceptional communication skills and a commitment to excellence in member outcomes.
Additionally, you have:
- Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of performance attribution methodologies and systems implementation
- Proven track record in stakeholder management and employee performance management, fostering a culture of feedback and growth
