About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement of Engineering Steel products. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of materials that meet our quality and operational standards.

You'll play a key role in planning procurement activities, developing sourcing strategies, and aligning stock levels with business and sales needs. This position requires strong market awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Engineering Steels
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and support sales forecasting
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage international supplier relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
  • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Shipping, Warehouse, etc.)
  • Report on procurement performance, supplier metrics, and cost savings

Requirements
  • 3-5 years experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Engineering Steels industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing practices and processes
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and Divisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and adapt to changing market conditions
