Position: Associate Director – Valuation Services, Perth, KPMG
The Perth valuation practice is expanding to meet strong market demand, creating opportunities for experienced professionals to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Identify key performance indicators and value drivers across companies, industries, and transactions.
- Deliver clear, insightful valuation reports that explain assumptions, methodologies, and findings.
- Build, review, and interpret financial models for businesses and projects.
- Apply critical thinking to identify issues and collaborate with colleagues across Deal Advisory.
- Engage with clients to understand business performance, cash flow forecasts, and valuation drivers.
- Use both traditional and innovative valuation methodologies to assess the value of assets, equity, and debt instruments.
- Work alongside the leaders of business in.
- You are a curious and analytical thinker who enjoys uncovering insights and presenting them clearly.
- You bring experience or a strong interest in delivering valuation advice that influences strategic decisions.
- You are detail-oriented, able to manage teams of skilled professionals, proactive, and committed to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment with the ability to solve problems and adapt to challenges.
- You are eager to learn how to prepare client materials such as proposals and pitch packs, and you're open to developing these skills.
- Demonstrated experience in business valuations (including Purchase Price Allocations / PPA, intangible valuations, tax valuations, etc.) or corporate finance within a corporate advisory or professional services environment.
- Relevant degree (commerce, finance, economics) and ideally working towards or considering postgraduate studies (e.g., CA, CFA).
- A commercial mindset, resilience, and a drive to improve processes and outcomes.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Proven experience building and maintaining financial models and delivering Excel-based financial analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships, including mentoring junior team members.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering multiple engagements simultaneously.
