What You'll Be Doing

The primary purpose of the Project Officer, Research Grants is to coordinate, execute, implement and support the operations, monitoring and evaluation of the Cancer Institute's research grant schemes and to facilitate the effective delivery of programs and projects in line with Divisional and Institute objectives.

As the Project Officer, Research Grants, you will lead the coordination and administration of competitive grant programs that fund high-impact scientific, clinical, and translational research in cancer control. You'll ensure the seamless end-to-end delivery of research grant schemes, driving alignment with the Institute's strategic research priorities while adhering to governance and reporting standards.

In a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, you will hit the ground running, collaborating closely with researchers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and full compliance at every stage of the grant lifecycle.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead the administration and execution of research grants, from developing clear guidelines and managing applications to overseeing every phase of the grant lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance and efficiency in all processes, including grant reviews, procurement, contract management, and tracking of project progress.
  • Proactively monitor and report on project status, addressing challenges and ensuring that milestones are achieved, and budgets are maintained.
  • Collaborate with research teams and stakeholders, ensuring funding supports high-priority cancer research objectives and drives innovations in treatment and prevention.
  • Utilise advanced grant management tools to maintain precise records, streamline reporting, and ensure full transparency throughout the process.
