The Role

$90k - $92,500K salary plus super - Permanent Full Time Employment

These are drive in / drive out roles 2-5 hours drive from Townsville QLD on 14/7 roster - average

  • Provide breakfast, crib lunch, desserts or dinner service for residents on site (be able to work both night shift and dayshift on a rotating roster)
  • Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service are to Sirrom standards
  • Work within budgeted food costs
  • Maintain minimal food wastage
  • Prepare and serve meals according to the menu and Sirrom Guidelines in line with client requirements
  • Maintain a strict health and hygiene standards and systems in the kitchen
We're looking for candidates with:
  • At least 2 years of experience working in remote workforce camps.
  • Hands-on experience with bulk catering, including bistro and buffet-style service.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage utilities, and deliver high-quality food and service.
  • Supportive leadership, mentoring, and coaching for kitchen staff.
  • Strong skills in food costing, budgeting, ordering, and stock control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Friendly and considerate attitude to promote a positive work environment.
To be considered, you must have or be willing to obtain:
  • Australian Driver's License (must be any Australian State) - International license is not accepted
  • Chef Trade Certificate - Australian Trade Qualification (Minimum of Cert III in Commercial Cookery or higher)
  • Food Safety for Supervisor's Certificate (desirable)
  • Proof of current Right to Work in Australia
  • National Police Check - no more than 1 month old
  • To be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
  • 4wd certificate (advantageous)
