Location: Hunter region – Lake Macquarie (Morisset/Toronto), Maitland, Newcastle. Permanent part-time and casual roles available. Pay rate: $33.15–$34.30 per hour plus 25% casual loading. Not-for-profit employer with associated tax benefits.

We are celebrating 30 years of providing care and now have 5000+ employees. Our mission is to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities. We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to support older adults to live at home independently for as long as possible. This role requires some availability during weekdays (Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), preferably a minimum of 3 days.

Responsibilities
  • General household tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, ironing, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, changing beds, and washing
  • Transport to appointments and shopping
  • Meal preparation
  • Social support or respite for family or carers
  • Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
To Be Successful In This Role You'll Need
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable team player
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
