Role & TeamCommercial Finance is a newly-created and growing team at CreditorWatch. Alongside the FP&A team, it will partner with the ELT to execute CreditorWatch's strategy and optimise shareholder value. This is a high-profile role, partnering directly with the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to optimise our go-to-market.
By examining the business through a financial lens, your objective will be identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and efficiency, then supporting the business in capitalising on them. You will be tasked with adding real value, not "reporting for reporting's sake". This is a hands-on role with long-term potential to shape a fast-growing organisation.
This role reports to the General Manager, FP&A, and is a full-time opportunity with hybrid working out of our Sydney CBD Office.
Responsibilities- Be a sounding board and trusted advisor to senior leadership in the go-to-market business units.
- Champion data-driven decision making and embed SaaS performance metrics into the business.
- Drive ROIs, investment cases, scenario planning and decision-support.
- Analyse market opportunities, sales pipeline, conversion rates, revenue trends, customer segmentation and targeting strategies.
- Develop strategic responses to competitive market dynamics.
- Optimise sales targets and incentives to balance staff motivation and company results.
- Provide end-to-end value-adding analysis: data analysis > insight > opportunity identification > capitalisation strategy > implementation > performance tracking.
- Support leadership in regular business reviews with the Board of Directors.
- Support the broader FP&A team in the multi-year execution of CreditorWatch's Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan process.
- Assist with corporate development / M&A activities as required.
You'll be a sharp, commercially minded finance professional with a knack for turning numbers into game-changing decisions. With solid experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, and strategic planning—ideally in a fast-growing B2B SaaS business—you'll know the ins and outs of sales funnels, SaaS economics, and what truly drives performance. You should be comfortable building financial models and challenging senior leaders with fresh ideas, and able to spot the "so what" in a sea of data. You are hands-on, adaptable, and energized by rapid change, thriving in a start-up-style environment where rolling up your sleeves is the norm.
