Balance Enviro specialises in the design, construction and management of wetland, riparian and revegetation projects, ecological restoration and aquatic environments in Greater Melbourne and Greater Geelong.
We are an interesting, progressive workplace with a positive work environment. With a hands-on attitude, no job is too big or too hard, our crew is a strong team of individuals who appreciate everyone's diversity. Here at Balance Enviro, we solve problems effectively, we are results-driven, seek different perspectives and most importantly: we support each other.
We are currently seeking Construction and Revegetation Crew Members to be based out of our Fairfield Depot in Melbourne. As a Crew Member of the Construction team, you are an integral part of our long-term success. You will help construct and maintain our wetland construction sites. You love to work outdoors and get your hands dirty.
Our projects are all around the outer suburbs of Melbourne and the Greater Geelong region. Our depots are based in Fairfield, Werribee and Geelong, and we also have a native nursery in Bangholme.
As a Crew Member, you love to work outdoors and get your hands dirty: preparing soil, laying jute and planting plants will be the main tasks for construction, then you will also conduct the maintenance of remnant native bushland, constructed wetlands and newly built native landscapes all around the Melbourne and Geelong region. You have a motivating attitude, you are keen to help your crew members, the site supervisors and project managers to construct and maintain our WSUD wetland and revegetation projects.
As with most outdoor work, we are subject to all extremes of the weather, in winter and in summer. As such, it is important to be able to flourish within the occasionally challenging conditions that our environment provides. You will work in a team setting, so working with others and demonstrating effective communication is crucial to the application of tasks throughout the day.
We are seeking individuals who want to contribute to the Construction and maintenance of native wetlands throughout the Melbourne region. As such, individuals who value the environment would likely find meaningful employment and a team in which they can apply themselves. We are also seeking individuals who want to learn new skills and grow within the company.
