Overview

Senior Backend Developer - C# at ScaleUp. We're looking for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems in fast-moving environments. An engineer who thinks laterally with solid foundations but is not defined by them. This role involves architecture for growth, building systems resilient enough to empower millions, and working closely with business leaders in a rapidly growing international environment.

What you'll do
  • Design, build, and refine backend services and APIs using .NET, MS-SQL, and Docker.
  • Shape the future of our stack as we migrate to .NET 8+, ensuring speed, scalability, and reliability at every turn.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and tech leads to deliver elegant solutions to complex challenges.
  • Uphold best practices for security, performance, and resilience in every line of code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and problem-solve at scale—where the stakes are high and the impact is immediate.
What we're looking for
  • Multiple years of experience in backend development, with mastery in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET 8+.
  • Proven expertise in relational database design and performance tuning.
  • A growth and open mindset: curious, resourceful, and unafraid to push beyond the textbook solution.
  • Strong critical thinking; thrives when priorities shift and complexity scales.
  • Working knowledge of AWS in production, CI/CD, and unit testing.
  • SQL Server.
  • Collaborative by nature, with the communication skills to bring clarity in a fast-moving team.
  • A passionate interest in crypto, and any professional or personal experience building blockchain technologies would be highly beneficial.
Nice-to-haves
  • Exposure to blockchain technologies, DevOps/Linux, Node.js, or TypeScript.
