Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at the Mount Gambier Hotel in Mount Gambier, SA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a qualified Chef and possess excellent leadership skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. They will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and presented attractively.

In addition to their cooking skills, the successful candidate will possess strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items to a high standard
  • Ensure that all food is handled, stored and cooked safely
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer feedback
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a qualified Chef
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Certification in Senior First Aid and Food Safety
