Messines Farmis our regenerative agriculture outpost in the Scenic Rim, producing sustainable fruit and hosting education, research, and tourism initiatives. The farm is a living example of regenerative agriculture and is closely linked with Natura Pacific's mission to demonstrate and share ecological solutions.
We are seeking a dynamic comms professional to amplify our impact across digital platforms and community networks.This role is vital to expanding the reach of our consulting guild, our Jedi academies of education, and our regenerative agriculture outposts.
Position Purpose
The Communications Jedi will be responsible for mastering the digital holonet, rallying our community of allies across the galaxy, and launching campaigns that advance our mission. This role is central to amplifying the presence of our consulting, education, and regenerative agriculture initiatives — ensuring our message shines brighter than a lightsaber in the dark.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Management
- Maintain and update websites for Natura Pacific and Messines Farm.
- Optimise user journey and ensure content is engaging, accurate, and up to date.
- Conduct regular health checks, backups, plugin updates, and reCAPTCHA/security fixes.
- Social Media and Digital Content
- Develop and deliver a communications calendar across key channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Create engaging posts, reels, blogs, and newsletters aligned with organisational goals.
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximise reach and impact.
- Campaigns and Community Engagement
- Plan and implement digital and print campaigns for events, workshops, produce sales, and documentaries.
- Support grant-funded projects with marketing deliverables, including engaging community and local systems.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels tied to Strategic Business Units (Natura Pacific Consulting, Natura Pacific Education, Messines Farm, Messy, Back from the Brink).
- Manage PPC campaigns (Meta/Google Ads) in accordance with approved budget.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Conduct market research to find answers about audience needs, behaviours, and trends across the sector.
- Track campaign performance, social metrics, and SEO.
- Conduct quarterly SEO audits.
- Provide quarterly marketing reports to management.
- Share specific project and long term performance metrics with internal marketing panel.
- General Marketing
- Liaise with consultants, educators, and farm staff to source stories and updates from the field.
- Manage the register of photography, video, and creative assets.
- Develop optimisation strategies to unlock the full potential of new and existing assets across platforms — ensuring freshness, consistency, and strong performance.
- Coordinate media releases and stakeholder communications.
Key Relationships
Our Communications Jedi will maintain and grow strong working relationships with:

- Marketing Panel (cross-team members providing input, guidance, and coordination on campaigns).
- Project managers, consultants, educators, and farm staff (for sourcing updates and stories).
- Directors and leadership for strategic alignment.
- Clients & Partners
- Conservation partners, schools, and community organisations.
- Event collaborators (eg, Botanical Bazaar, brewery partners).
- Grant and funding partners requiring marketing deliverables.
- Media & PR
- Journalists, media outlets, and documentary distribution platforms.
- Local and regional news outlets for coverage of events and conservation projects.
- Community & Stakeholders
- Local councils, government agencies, and regional networks.
- Community groups, volunteers, advocates, and education partners (schools, universities).
- Suppliers & Service Providers
- Hosting and digital service providers.
- Creative consultants (videographers, designers, artists).
- Print, design, and campaign support providers.
- Industry & Professional Networks
- Conservation and regenerative agriculture networks.
- Tourism and agri-tourism associations.
- Other not-for-profits and social enterprises for collaborative campaigns.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in marketing, digital engagement, or communications (not-for-profit or environmental sector desirable).
- Strong skills in social media management, digital storytelling, and website content management (WordPress and Mailchimp/EDM tools).
- Ability to create high-quality written and visual content for diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of (or interest in) environmental conservation, regenerative agriculture, or sustainability.
Desirable Skills
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent).
- Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and email marketing tools.
- Image and/or video editing capability.
- Community engagement or stakeholder relations experience.

- Hours:Flexible, with a minimum of 20 hours per week preferred
