We are establishing a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.


Armadale SHS is a proud Independent Public School located about 30 kilometres south of Perth. The school offers enriched pathways including the Aspire program and Specialist Programs in Visual Arts & Technologies, with Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses linked to the workforce, including hospitality, automotive and engineering.


All staff at Armadale SHS contribute to a culture of positive teaching and learning. Our facilities include a trade-training centre, sports hall, science laboratories, a commercial kitchen/industrial hospitality centre, computer labs and digital devices. Students are supported by our Student Services team.



The Role

Cleaners at Armadale SHS maintain a clean, hygienic environment. They work within a dedicated team to ensure that all learning spaces are clean and safe. We are seeking dedicated and efficient applicants to join our grounds and maintenance team.


Under the Cleaner in Charge, suitable applicants will be responsible for carrying out cleaning duties across the school. This includes:

  • Cleaning learning environments to a high standard
  • Disinfecting toilets and drinking troughs
  • Maintaining carpets and hard-floor surfaces, including mopping and vacuuming
  • Dusting and rubbish removal throughout the school
  • Cleaning windows, doors, furniture and fittings
  • Vacation cleaning duties, including removing cobwebs, stripping and sealing vinyl floors, cleaning windows, shampooing carpets and pressure cleaning verandas and undercover areas

Eligibility

To work with us, you will need to:

  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
