SMS Mining Services, a privately owned West Australian mining contractor founded in 2000. We have evolved from equipment rental to encompass maintenance and contract mining divisions. Our mission is to enhance our reputation in the mining industry.
We are currently looking for a recent Mining Engineer graduate (or undergrad in the final 12 months of their degree) to join our team
You will provide technical support to the Operations Managers in the design, development and completion of any open pit mining projects within the business, and be initially responsible for preparation of tendering and supporting documents utilised in sourcing and acquiring mining projects.
Successful Candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, with a specialisation in either mining or geotechnical engineering
- Demonstrable experience in the Miningindustry, ideally open pit
- Understanding of Drill and Blast Concepts
- Knowledge in the use of Mining software such as Surpac
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent remuneration
- Perth based role with some required site travel
- Career development and training
- Work with some of the best in the business
