The Opportunity

Hitachi is seeking a customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join the Canberra team. This role involves coordinating and supplying quality parts to external customers and internal stakeholders while meeting sales targets and delivering high service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide parts and sundry items to both external customers and internal teams
  • Identify, interpret, and source parts to meet customer needs
  • Process invoices, raise purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved or exceeded by identifying new sales opportunities and developing relationships with existing customers
  • Maintain records in MS Dynamics and handle customer inquiries
  • Deliver exceptional service via phone, email, or in-person
  • Provide daily support to branch operations

To succeed, you will need:

  • Commitment to the HCA Safety Culture (safety first)
  • Positive attitude toward learning and growth
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and parts concepts
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Forklift license (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and earthmoving equipment is not essential but highly advantageous
