You will be joining a dedicated team that aims to create a more inclusive technology ecosystem for all Australians. You will play a crucial role in promoting diversity across the tech sector, driving meaningful change and helping to create a more inclusive industry.

Mission of Role

The Senior Diversity Lead is responsible for leading our diversity, equity, and inclusion program, supporting our mission to create a diverse Australian technology ecosystem. This includes delivering initiatives that enable more women and other underrepresented groups to transition into and succeed in tech careers.

The role involves collaborating with members to develop and implement strategic diversity initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, managing projects, and working closely with internal teams and industry partners.

Key Outcomes:
  • Program Initiative Development and Execution: Develop and deliver diversity initiatives that align with strategic goals and timelines.
  • Industry Relationship Management: Build and maintain partnerships to drive program success.
  • Event Coordination and Promotion: Plan and coordinate inclusive events that promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure program success and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on outcomes for transparency and accountability.
Candidate Skills and Attributes:
  • Motivated to foster diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.
  • Proven ability to develop, plan, and execute complex programs independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently represent the Tech Council of Australia publicly.
