The Role:

As a Project/Design Engineer, you'll bring your technical expertise to the forefront, designing and delivering cutting-edge medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) power systems. Reporting to the System Engineering Team Leader, you will work on GIS, AIS, and LV systems, ensuring projects meet customer specifications, quality standards, and economic constraints. This role offers both challenge and reward, with direct impact on the success of our projects.

What You'll Do:

• Design and engineer MV and LV switchgear systems to meet customer requirements and comply with IEC/AS standards
• Analyse and clarify customer specifications, adapting Siemens switchgear designs where necessary
• Verify primary MV switchgear components (CB, CT/VTs) to ensure suitability for application
• Prepare, review, and maintain detailed design documentation and system realization plans
• Coordinate secondary designs and ensure all systems meet design inputs
• Collaborate across business units, project managers, customers, and factories to achieve project milestones
• Manage quality assurance, testing, and inspection processes to guarantee reliable system delivery
• Liaise with tendering, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to streamline project workflows
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-10+ years' experience (MIE Aust/NER or CPEng highly desirable)
• Proven expertise in MV GIS and AIS switchgear design (primary and secondary)
• Strong knowledge of LV switchgear design and transformer construction/testing standards
• Proficiency in AS3000 standards and understanding divergences from IEC standards
• Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical
• Full working rights in Australia
