Join Amazon's mission to prioritize workplace safety as a Graduate Safety Specialist in our Operations team. This role provides an ideal opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for Occupational Health and Safety to develop their skills and become exceptional safety leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to inform onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems.
- Support managers in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and corporate program expectations.
- Conduct risk assessments for jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
- Develop and recommend risk mitigation measures, including ergonomics, to enhance workplace safety.
- Be available to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to support operational needs.
A completed tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety within the last 24 months is required. Relevant experience or interest in safety-related employment is also highly valued.
Desirable QualificationsStrong communication skills, adaptability in fast-paced environments, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability are key characteristics of successful candidates. Prior internship experience in OH&S is also desirable.
