About the job GE PowerOn Advantage - Developer

Functional / Technical knowledge on the following:

  1. Configuration of different modules in PoA
  2. Writing PL/SQL, Shell, Perl Scripts
  3. Knowledge of SOAP webservice
  4. Testing of PoA functionalities
  5. Good experience in PowerOn Advantage application and its components
  6. Configuration of SCADA, DMS, OMS in PoA
  7. Experience on different modules like Group Tele Control, Automation, system tracing, Symbol Design, Alarm Configurations, etc. in PoA
  8. Experience in integrating PoA with OT applications like PI Historian and other corporate application systems
  9. Capability to provide guidance in defining solution architecture considering integration of PoA with external systems
  10. Configuration and setup of SOAP services and interfaces
  11. Setup / configuration of SCADA simulating tool (SimSCADA)
  12. Setup of PoA Application and Database server, reports server, FEP server, Historian database and DPF (Dist. Power Flow) application server, Proxy Server
  13. Reports development using Microsoft SQL Server report builder & deploying the reports to IS SQL Server reporting services
  14. Bringing Servers into replication and testing replication of various servers (Application Servers, Reports and Proxy Servers)
  15. Knowledge on PoA cartography for network build resolution and support
  16. Capability to work closely with the business team to take their inputs during the development
  17. Writing test cases as per business requirements and execution of test cases
  18. Guiding and supporting team during System Integrations
  19. Excellent business writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver clear, concise presentations
  20. Good level of understanding on Windows and Linux server

GOOD TO HAVE:

  1. Understanding on OSI PI system
  2. Functional Understanding of the Power Transmission and Distribution
  3. Customer interactions and working in multi-vendor environment
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  5. Ability to write procedures, guidelines and O&M documentation
  6. Knowledge on Agile Project Management Methodology
  7. Knowledge on Java, .NET

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Development of functionalities as per business requirement
  2. Ensuring development decisions remain aligned with business needs
  3. Facilitating solution knowledge transfer within team
  4. Design functional and integration test plans/scripts and perform unit testing activities
  5. Direct and coordinate work of others to test programs
  6. Track and document changes to functional and business specifications
  7. Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures
  8. Understand best business practices and standards
