Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable HR Truck Driver to join our dedicated team. This is a permanent full-time position, responsible for local transport between farm sites. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, and possess a strong work ethic, with a commitment to working safely and as part of a team.


Proudly owned by Australian Farmers McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations.

Responsibilities
  • Transporting goods and materials between farm sites
  • Conducting routine pre-start vehicle checks and basic maintenance
  • Identifying and reporting vehicle faults or hazards
  • Working in compliance with health, safety and biosecurity protocols
  • Performing manual handling and physically demanding tasks
  • Maintaining accurate delivery and log records
  • Communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate logistics
  • Operating in a safe, efficient, and respectful manner at all times

What You'll Bring
  • A valid HR licence with proven experience and competency
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot breakdowns (highly regarded)
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to follow all safety, biosecurity, and operational procedures
  • Availability to work reasonable overtime to meet operational needs
