We are establishing a pool of English Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Aveley Secondary College (SC) opened in 2018 and is a large secondary school catering for Years 7 to 12 in Perth's Swan Valley. The College is recognised as a school of choice with high expectations and standards, a progressive approach and a commitment to excellence. Teaching and learning at the College are a focus (with Explicit Direct Instruction as the signature pedagogy) supported by a rigorous behaviour curriculum and systems to support conditions for learning in the classroom. The Role

We are seeking dedicated teachers with strong interpersonal skills who can work effectively as part of a team. The ideal candidate will engage in reflective practice, contribute to a collaborative school culture, and challenge students to reach their full potential. Applicants should display strong teaching and classroom management skills, and the ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Proficiency in ICT is highly desirable. Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

• hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
• apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start;
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
