Overview

Be part of the Red Cross Shops as a volunteer and contribute to the community by helping to resell donated items, support fundraising for vulnerable people, and provide a positive experience for customers. This role offers training and development opportunities and a generous discount on purchases.

What you'll do
  • Welcoming and engaging customers
  • Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • Following all shop processes
What you'll need
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Sociable and engaging with others
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and willing to do any of the shop tasks
  • Commitment to your nominated shift
Application process
  • No resume required – tell us why you're interested in the role
  • Friendly interview in store where you can ask questions
  • Age requirement: at least 15 years old (QLD – 16+)
  • National Police check required (paid for by Red Cross)
  • Induction into our organisation and Retail program
