Contract for 12 month with possible extension | Brisbane CBD & Working from home

Join a large government department as a Solution Architect, where you'll design scalable, cost-effective technology solutions that align with strategic objectives and deliver tangible business value. As the Solution Architect, you will play a key role in an enterprise transformation program which is due to commence in July 2025. The role forms part of the architecture team and works closely with the technical leads, business analysts and the wider Architecture team to create alignment between business, technology and strategy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver solution architectures that meet business, technical, and compliance requirements across complex programs.
  • Collaborate with project and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, sustainable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Develop and maintain architectural artefacts, including blueprints, specifications, and documentation for governance and implementation.
  • Engage stakeholders across technology, security, and business domains to guide design decisions and support delivery outcomes.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in enterprise and solution architecture, with knowledge of frameworks, patterns and governance practices.
  • Previous experience delivering customer facing solutions within a financial services organisation
  • Knowledge of various aspects of enterprise architecture domains like business, information, data, network, and security
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (particularly AWS) and familiarity with system development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall).
  • Ability to communicate and influence across technical and non-technical audiences, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
