An established business operating in the building and development sector in the Hunter Region has a vacancy available for a result driven Project Manager as it looks to expand its construction team. The company manages and delivers quality projects across the entire development life cycle from planning through to design, construction, marketing, and sales; and places great value on its people and the team environment it has created.

About the role

As a Project Manager you will be working as part of a cohesive team. You will be managing multiple projects and coordinating project activities including subcontractor management, workflow, procurement, budget maintenance, communication with project stakeholders and ensuring legislative and compliance requirements are meet and documented.

You will be dealing with both internal and external stakeholders including the senior management team, internal employees, sub-contractors, suppliers and clients to maintaining a smooth operation and driving the timely completion of projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for:-

Managing key stakeholder relationships both internal and external to ensure projects are delivered in a timely cost-effective manner.

Ensuring that projects are undertaken in accordance with contractual arrangements and approved drawings;

Inspecting completed work to ensure high standard of quality workmanship;

Maintaining and upholding the reputation of SNL Building Constructions by representing the company and displaying honesty, respect, accountability and integrity;

Ensuring construction is carried out safely and in accordance with legislative requirements and company safe systems of work;

Ensuring the required resources to deliver projects are available to the construction team in a timely manner;

Manage project budgets, variations and claims

Liaise with site supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

Ensuring that records are maintained throughout the project to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Collaborate with the development, estimating and construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of quality, timely and cost-effective projects.

To be successful in the position the following attributes are required;

A degree in construction management or equivalent

At least 3-5 years' experience within construction projects;

A demonstrated strong project management ability to coordinate multiple service providers and suppliers to deliver projects in a timely, cost effective and safe manner;

Considerable knowledge of the basic methods, practices, tools, materials and work standards related to the building of residential homes;

Have a high attention to detail, excellent time management and organisation skills;

The ability to identify issues and proactively take the necessary actions to prevent, rectify or resolve issues and disputes in an efficient manner;

Outstanding leadership, communication and planning abilities with a passion for working in a face paced environment and

Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office suit. A knowledge of Procore is an advantage.
