Overview

Chef role at Belgravia Leisure. Location: WA, Point Walter Golf Course – Bicton 6157. Mainly daytime hours with the option to work 4 or 5 days. The role involves delivering an exceptional modern food menu to the public, players, families and functions at Point Walter Golf Course. A customer‑focused, adaptable chef is required to drive sales across Café, Bar Menu, Functions and Party offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains a clean, sanitised operation and food safety program
  • Assists with ordering, storage and preparation of food stock in dry, fresh, refrigerated and frozen spaces
  • Prepares food to standard recipes and portion controls that meet company standards
  • Minimises wastage of product and utilities
  • Coordinates use and maintenance of all equipment to regulatory standards
  • Maintains stock levels to meet forecasted operations
  • Creates specialty dishes occasionally by utilising slow-moving stocks or excess items
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Energetic and passionate about goals for The Grass Lands
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar hospitality facility
  • Completed traineeship as qualified cook
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Experience in large group catering up to 120 pax
  • Knowledge of kitchen health and safety legislation
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
Desirable
  • Experience in roles with responsibility for outcomes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to contribute across other departments for efficiency
  • Experience with a larger multi-venue, multi-state company
