Role detailsThe Occupational Therapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Rehabilitation, Acute, Outpatients / Hand Therapy, Outpatients / Lymphoedema, Palliative Care, Paediatrics) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunityTo deliver high level comprehensive occupational therapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment across multiple areas of the service (Rehabilitation, Acute, Outpatients / Hand Therapy, Outpatients / Lymphoedema, Palliative Care or Paediatrics) for client groups within Mackay Hospital and Health Service, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities.
About the TeamOur Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Therapists help people of all ages overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so they can carry out everyday tasks and participate in activities of daily life.
About Our Hospital And Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres employing more than 3,700 staff. The district covers approximately 90,000 km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
