Overview

Join Westpac's Chief Operating Office within the Risk Division as a Senior Manager in the 2nd Line Assurance team. You'll provide oversight, insight, and challenge to ensure effective governance and risk management across both delivery and delivered risks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead assurance reviews across Westpac's largest transformation program – UNITE
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive effective governance and risk oversight
  • Deliver data-driven insights and reporting to risk committees and executive forums
Role specifics

This role plays a key part in delivering assurance reviews across large-scale transformation programs, with a strong focus on UNITE. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. UNITE is about delivering 'one best way' to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people.

This is a Permanent full-time role based in Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.

What do I need?

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Extensive experience in project assurance, internal audit and/or project risk in change
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) and related tools
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across complex programs
  • Experience producing and presenting insightful reporting to risk committees and governance forums
  • Skills in data-driven analysis using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Copilot
  • A proactive, outcomes-driven mindset with strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
