Secondary Information Technologies Teacher

We are seeking a Secondary Information Technologies Teacher to join our growing secondary Montessori program.

Our school is a well-established and regarded Montessori school catering for students from Early Childhood, Primary and Adolescent (Secondary) levels. We offer a robust and high-quality authentic Montessori education.

We are looking for a suitably qualified teacher with a Teaching Degree, the right to work in Australia, and eligibility for Teacher Accreditation through NESA. A willingness to undertake specific Montessori Adolescent Teacher Training and subject-specific International Baccalaureate training is necessary.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in their subject area, a creative and flexible approach to teaching, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience working within a Montessori School and serving diverse learning needs would be an advantage.

This role requires planning, development, and delivery of curriculum to meet student needs, assessment and reporting requirements, and valid NSW Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, and Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.

We intend to implement the International Baccalaureate program in conjunction with our Montessori ethos for Years 11 and 12. Our curriculum is based on the work of Dr Montessori while aligned with NESA requirements.

An innovative approach to design, information technology, and content delivery would be advantageous. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team of educators in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching subjects related to Information Technologies and a passion for working with the adolescent age group.

Other key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.
  2. Developing assessments that measure student progress and understanding.
  3. Maintaining accurate records of student performance.
