Job Description

This is an on-site position. Allied Health Professionals have a diverse role, offering opportunities to assist job seekers who have complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking a variety of therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and providing recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services. This is a permanent full-time position.

Key duties of the role will include:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment;
  2. Offer counselling interventions as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
  3. Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
  4. Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases;
  5. Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates;
  6. Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Counselling, or eligibility to gain, membership with ACA / PACFA
  • Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
  • Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies;
  • Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement;
  • Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
  • Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients;
  • Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check.
