Rail Infrastructure Worker L4 Permanent

About the role:

• Facilitate, lead and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets
• Actively promote safe behaviour within the team and manage safety at the worksite
• Implement strategies to minimise the risk of safety incidents
• Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specifications as required
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop new work practices
• Responsible for taking team out to the worksite and completing scheduled tasks
• Ensure the team is completing required tasks safely and on time
• Report on work performed to supervisors
• Travel across network as required to support other teams during system closures
• Very hands on role, knowledge and experience in the rail industry is essential

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry Experience & Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Essential)
• Current Drivers Licence – MR Class or above (Essential)
• Machine tickets Bobcat, Excavator or Loader (highly regarded)
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Exceptional leadership skills and ability to lead diverse workgroups
• Extensive knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
