Looking for a role where no two days are the same? As a Community Supports Officer with ATSICHS Brisbane, you will be making a real difference in people\'s lives. This role involves assisting with disability or elder support, helping with lawn maintenance, shopping, social outings, and providing companionship. You will also help facilitate group outings and provide essential support to Elders, people with disabilities, NDIS participants, and Commonwealth Home Support Scheme clients.

What You'll Do

• Provide culturally safe and person-centred support that respects and uplifts clients.
• Assist clients with shopping, social outings, and household chores to support independence.
• Support clients with lawn maintenance and other practical tasks in their homes.
• Facilitate group outings and activities that promote social connection and community engagement.
• Engage with clients through conversations, companionship, and being a trusted presence.
• Encourage choice, control, and independence, helping clients live life on their own terms.

Benefits

• $35.39 to $37.97 base hourly rate + casual loading (plus 12% super).

Skills and Experiences

Required

• A passion for supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and making a positive impact.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Adaptability and willingness to support clients in various ways.
• Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Availability to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Australian Federal Police Check.
• Working with Children Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
• NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card) or eligibility to apply.

Preferred

• Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar support worker or care-giving role.
• Previous experience working with people with disabilities.
• Flexibility to work outside core business hours to meet client needs.
