Purpose: As Stocksy's Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, creation, and execution of Stocksy's content marketing initiatives. This role requires a creative thinker with a strong understanding of social media strategies, exceptional copywriting skills, and a keen eye for contemporary culture and creative industry trends.

Direct reports: 0
Location: Remote, preference for North American timezones
Role type: FT Employee (or FT Dependent Contractor if residing outside of Canada)
Hours: This is a full-time position with the standard hours of 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day. Typical office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (or in agreement with Team Lead). Overtime may be required as part of annual salary. All conditions of employment will be in accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act.

Technical Competencies:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in content marketing, advertising, or copywriting roles.
- Proven expertise in social media strategy and digital content creation.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Familiarity with the creative industry, visual storytelling, and design principles.
- Creative Copywriting: Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging, on-brand copy for various formats (social posts, emails, blog articles, etc.).
- Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of contemporary culture, creative industry discourse, and emerging trends.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools like WordPress, HubSpot, Asana, Trello, Figma, and Hootsuite.
- Analytics-Driven: Skilled in interpreting performance metrics to inform and optimize content strategies.
- Visual Literacy: Familiarity with design, visual arts, photography, or stock media.
Responsibilities:
- Content Calendar Management
- Plan and maintain a strategic content calendar that aligns with Stocksy's marketing objectives.
- Identify key opportunities for campaigns, trends, and seasonal content.
- Content Production & Publishing
- Oversee the creation and distribution of content assets, including:
- Social media posts
- Marketing emails
- Blog posts
- Landing page copy
- Ensure all content meets brand standards for tone, voice, and style.

- Report regularly to the Creative Director and marketing team on content effectiveness.
- Creative Innovation
- Ideate and implement out-of-the-box content ideas to drive brand awareness.
- Stay informed on creative and cultural trends to keep Stocksy's content fresh and relevant.
- Team Support
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with broader campaigns.
- Assist in the coordination of freelancers and creative contributors as needed.
