Locations and working days:

  • Darwin Health Centre (Winnellie, NT) 2 days per week - Wednesday/Friday
  • Larrakeyah Health Centre (Larrakeyah, NT) 3 days per week - Monday/Wednesday/Friday
  • Robertson Health Centre (Holtze, NT) - Monday to Friday (may be taken on part-time or full-time basis)

ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provides defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care. ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Physiotherapist, your typical day will involve seeing many sporting type injuries both acute and subacute, post-operative patients (e.g., ACL repair, Shoulder reconstruction), overuse injuries (e.g., compartment syndrome), pelvic health, and concussion. You will help members progress towards deployment and ADF training exercises.

As the ideal applicant you will:

  • Have access to a fully equipped gym to enhance the rehabilitation of members.
  • Work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries with a focus on functional rehabilitation and returning members to their work and exercise goals.
  • Work with an active population who are motivated to achieve their best possible functional outcomes.
  • Have dedicated time for administrative tasks each day.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors, psychologists, and rehabilitation consultants.
  • Improve your understanding of job roles and requirements of the ADF with the opportunity of working closely with ADF members.

ABOUT YOU

As the ideal applicant, you will have:

  • At least 2 years' part-time or full-time equivalent post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years and working in an Accredited Physiotherapy Setting.
  • A current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
  • Recent engagement in Continuing Professional Development activities aligned with AHPRA guidelines.
  • A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009).
  • Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred).
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
