About the Role

As a Senior Asset Management Engineer, you will lead strategic asset management activities for water infrastructure assets, driving lifecycle management, risk assessment, and investment planning.

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical asset management plans across water asset portfolios.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of asset condition, performance, maintenance, and operational data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop long-term investment profiles and renewal strategies to support sustainable asset management.
  • Undertake risk assessments and develop risk management frameworks aligned with asset management objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated asset solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on asset management practices, processes, and system improvements.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports, plans, and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of asset management capabilities.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (Civil or related discipline) with eligibility for professional membership (e.g., Engineers Australia).
  • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in asset management within the water sector or related infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000), and lifecycle planning.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
