Retail Manager

As the Retail Manager of our leading food franchise in Adelaide, you will be the driving force behind our success. You will be responsible for the entire scope of business operations, from strategic planning to daily execution. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader who can not only manage a team but also drive profitability and uphold the premium standards of the brand.

Salary - $75,000 - $85,000

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Your role will be highly autonomous, focusing on the overall management and strategic direction of the store.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Undertake budgeting for the establishment, monitoring expenditure and ensuring financial objectives are met.

Determine the optimal product mix, stock levels, and service standards to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Formulate and implement purchasing policies, manage supplier relationships, and set product pricing to align with company goals.

Maintain records of all financial transactions and stock levels, preparing regular performance reports.

Promote and advertise the establishment's goods and services through local marketing initiatives and in-store promotions.

Work with the franchise support office to effectively implement national marketing campaigns and new product launches at the store level.

Actively sell goods and services to customers, advising them on product use and ensuring a premium customer experience.

Control the staffing process, including the selection, recruitment, and comprehensive training of all team members.

Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance management to a team of baristas, kitchen hands, and front-of-house staff to foster a positive and high-performing work environment.

Prepare and manage weekly staff rosters to ensure optimal operational efficiency and compliance with payroll budgets.

Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety (WHS) regulations and food safety standards.

Implement and monitor internal policies and procedures to guarantee consistent quality, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

Requirements to be Considered:

Must hold at least an AQF Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Hospitality Management) OR have a minimum of three (3) years of full-time, relevant work experience as a Retail Manager in a similar fast-food or café environment.

Proven experience in formulating and implementing business strategies, including marketing, purchasing, and pricing policies.

Demonstrated ability to undertake and manage budgeting and financial records for a retail establishment.

Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of recruiting, training, and supervising staff effectively.

Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and food safety regulations, with experience in ensuring compliance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, customers, and suppliers.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the business.
