Ohio Dental Outreach, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in Cleveland, OH and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in-school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents, and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

EFDA Qualifications

  • Licensed EFDA
  • Experience with Sealants and Polishing
  • Organized, reliable, and able to multi-task
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must meet State requirements to operate X-rays
  • CPR certification
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Digital X-ray Imaging experience
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to schools in neighboring counties
  • Works well with children
  • Team player, able to work on a small team
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

  • Providing dental assisting services during mobile clinics
  • Digital X-ray imaging
  • Patient records and charting
  • Equipment setup, breakdown, and sterilization
  • Travel to and from school sites

What Smile Programs Offers

  • No evenings, weekends, or summers off
  • Work schedule around 5-7 hours, roughly 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
